Six young hairdressers have been announced as the 2015 Clynol Protégé Team following a nationwide search for the best new talent to represent the brand for the next 12 months.
Aspiring super stylists from Clynol salons across the UK were put to the test in the hunt for this year’s Protégé styling stars, with each submitting a personal pitch and summary of their creative work. Shortlisted applicants were then invited to a face-to-face interview and presentations where they were assessed on practices and confidence. In the last stage, finalists presented their work to the judging panel in a three-minute slot, showing good technical knowledge and presentation skills.
The applicants were judged by Ross Taylor, creative director at Falltricks Hair & Beauty, Tim Scott-Wright from The Hair Surgery and British Hairdressing Awards Hall of Fame member and Hensmans director Gemma Hensman.
Team mentor Jamie Farrar commented: “I am so happy with the chosen team. Everyone has the right assets to succeed and there’s a great dynamic of skills and personalities. Thanks to the judges we have managed to find a fantastic team and I cannot wait to work with them and experience this year alongside them.”
