Angelo Seminara recently travelled to Australia for a series of engagements in his role as Davines art director, where he was awarded the prestigious title of Icon of the Year at the Australian Fashion Awards (AHFA), cementing his reputation in the international hairdressing world.
The AHFAs are Australia’s largest and most successful independent hairdressing award program, designed to inspire and celebrate the field’s existing and new talent.
Hosted by Marie Claire’s Jackie Frank and American model/media personality Didier Cohen, the AHFAs took place at Sydney’s iconic Luna Park, welcoming over 600 industry leaders form the worlds of hairdressing, fashion and beauty across Australia.
In his speech, Angelo took the chance to emphasise the high standards of hairdressing coming from Australia, an industry that is rapidly evolving and excelling on the international stage.
“I’m really thrilled to receive this,” commented Seminara. “To have my work appreciated by such discerning fellow professionals is an honour indeed, just marvellous.”
While in Sydney, Seminara also hosted a conceptual all-day styling show with an artistic installation, cut and colour model presentations, a live and exclusive interview and a meet-and-greet with guests.
