A NEW CHAPTER OF STYLE AND INCLUSIVITY FOR SUFFOLK SALON

“All are welcome” is the message from the former Sir & Co barbershop, as it rebrands with a fresh new look and service menu to meet the hairstyling needs of its community.

Re-named Hair & Co the salon will have both barbering and traditional hairstyling services all under one roof, removing any gender stereotype barriers to a getting a great haircut.

Salon owner, Janene Hawkins-Bush says: “As salons work to weather the storm created by the cost of living crisis, we are all having to adapt to meet the needs of local people who want quality hair styling services.

“Our beloved barbershop, formerly known as Sir & Co Barbers, has undergone a marvellous makeover, and with it comes a fresh new name. At Hair & Co, we believe in the power of transformation, not just in terms of hairstyles but also in our commitment to inclusivity. We are thrilled to announce that we will be expanding our offerings to include all hairdressing services alongside our renowned barber expertise.”

With this exciting rebrand, Hair & Co aims to celebrate and cater to all individuals who seek exceptional hair services, where everyone feels at home and confident regardless of gender or personal style preferences. The new look salon design is a harmonious blend of contemporary elements and timeless charm, creating an ambience that genuinely encapsulates our vision of a modern yet inviting space.

This change also comes at a time when some salons in Aldeburgh have had to close their doors. Hair & Co is there to meet the need of those customers too.

Janene adds, “Salons are the beating heart of the high street and in light of other local salons closing, we are evolving to keep those service available in the community. We decided to rebrand to make it clear that this salon is for everyone who needs it. This salon is for all, no matter how they identify or how they like to style their hair.”
