BLOG: Fudge Fix LC:M SS16 diary by Fudge Professional brand ambassador Nikki Gallimore

This week, in the third of our LC:M SS16 blog series by Fudge Professional brand ambassadors, Nikki Gallimore tells us all about switching her Stoke-on-Trend business Salon Shades for The Fudge Fix pop-up salon.
This was my third season working with Fudge Professional at London Collections Men as well as a return to The Fudge Fix, and though I was only able to work for two out of the four days, I still found the experience as exciting as ever.
I love working at The Fix because the atmosphere is always buzzing; you never know who might walk through the doors. I love fashion so it’s a great way to meet people in the industry and hear about their ideas. I always leave The Fix feeling truly inspired.
At the SS16 showcase, I had the pleasure of cutting and styling the hair of shoe designer Augustus Pili, who has designed a few pairs of shoes for Elton John — how cool it that?!
Another one of my favourite aspects of working at The Fudge Fix is getting the opportunity to try out new styles and of course, testing brand new Fudge Professional products. I specialise in hair-up and special occasion hair which is perfect for working at The Fix because the clients come to us to take their looks to the next level. At LC:M it’s all about taking risks and being creative. The style I was most proud of this season was a crown braid I created; it was a fun look for me to do since I love incorporating plaits into styles.
I also found a new favourite Fudge Professional product – the Xpander Jelly – which I’m obsessed with! There’s nothing on the market like it! You can feel it while you’re drying your hair, but as soon as it’s dry, you can’t see it or feel it. It’s gone like magic but you’re left with wonderfully thick hair. I can’t wait for it to be out later this year so I can use it in my salon.
Thanks for another exciting season Fudge professional!
