Christmas Creations
In an exclusive editorial with Pure Nails VIP, Michaela Phillips, we explore festive nail styles to increase bookings and showcase your creativity this winter.
Baubles
My favourite part of Christmas has always been decorating the tree. So, this definitely inspired me to create something timeless, yet simple. The reflective glitter elevates this set and you can use all the colours from the Pure Nails ‘Sparkle Season’ collection to complete this look. Use a dotting tool to create the baubles and some black gel for the top of the decoration to add more intricate detail.
Candy Cane Surprise
This is my favourite design I’ve created because I love the swirl detailing of the candy cane pattern. I decided to add an extra layer using Halo Gel Polish in the shade ‘Vibes’ to create a peppermint candy cane feel. This addition helped the design pop with a traditional Christmas vibe. To create the swirling effect, I used a fine liner brush.
Flashing Lights
This glamourous design is a firm favourite with my clients every year, as it is something you can wear through Christmas and into the New Year. I used most of the Pure Nails ‘Sparkle Season’ collection, as all the colours complement each other to create a striking look. When painting on the lines, start at the free edge and release the pressure of the brush stroke where you want the line to end. This assures that you won’t get a harsh and blunt line.
Fairy Dust
For those clients who prefer an aesthetically pleasing nail, Fairy Dust is the one. It gives that subtle hint of festive glitter and looks amazing over any colour. I’ve used the Halo Gel Polish in shade ‘Elise’ as my base and finished with the Halo Gel Polish in shade ‘Fairy Dust’. Perfect for clients who want a subdued Christmas design.
