Edinburgh salon launches new exhibition celebrating The Real Women of JFK

jfk real womenEdinburgh salon Hair by JFK recently welcomed clients and friends of the business to the launch of their new exhibition, The Real Women of JFK.

The exhibition was the brainchild of salon director, Karen Brown, after a window installation earlier in the year caused controversy as one local resident took to twitter to brand the showcased collection as sexist. Brown decided to turn the incident into something positive with the idea of featuring real women in the latest exhibition

Inviting clients from both the Bruntsfiled and Clerk Street salons to take part, the shoot celebrated women of all ages and their passion for style.

Brown commented: “I wanted to do something fun and positive, something which celebrated women of all ages and allowed them to be as adventurous with their style as they wanted to be, it was all about unleashing our clients’ wild side and allowing them to have fun. It was great to have our clients involved in the shoot, it gave them an idea of what we do away from the salon floor. Our clients have some great personalities and I think this shoot really allowed them to shine through.

The Real Women of JFK collection is currently being exhibited at the Hair by JFK salon in Bruntsfield.
