Ego Professional rallies nation’s salons for National Blow Dry Day

EGO PROFESSIONAL RALLIED NATION’S SALONS FOR NATIONAL BLOW DRY DAY

Salons across the country came together for National Blow Dry Day, celebrating and raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support through a range of fundraising initiatives such as discounted blow-dries, tip donations and prize draws.

Organised by Ego Professional on 28 July, National Blow-Dry aims to bridge the gap between the high street and home, encouraging stylists over the UK to provide all the hints, tips and advice to help women recreate all the hard work their stylist has achieved when they’re at home.

Ego did its part by hosting a pop-up salon at London’s Waterloo station, with multi-award winning stylist Tracey Devine and stylists from the capital’s Taylor, Taylor salon offering quick style fixes and expert tips to commuters for optional donations to Macmillan.

‘‘I am overwhelmed with the amount of support we received for National Blow Dry day by stylists across the UK,” says Kala Kilshaw Laing, founder of EgoProfessional and National Blow Dry day. “For me, it wasn’t just about one day of the year to celebrate the blow dry but a campaign to encourage women to feel confident in styling their hair at home and feeling good about themselves.”
