Fellowship for British Hairdressing announces latest Scholarship winner
This winner of this year’s coveted Fellowship Scholarship has been announced as Jasmine Connor of Chichester’s Q Hair and Beauty.
Awarded every June, the Fellowship Scholarship is given to a deserving and promising hairdresser who wants to further their learning, at any stage of their career.
The esteemed panel of judges, who were looking for passion over just skill level alone, consisted of Fellowship chancellor Karine Jackson, Professional Hairdresser editor Nicola Shannon, HJ publisher Jayne Lewis-Orr, Edward Darley (Sassoon), Jackie Wadeson, and Ann Herman.
Connor, who wins a professional four-week course at Sassoon’s Academy and a tool roll courtesy of Denman Brushes, was chosen for her dynamic personality, passion and willingness to research the industry, with a multitude of courses and projects already under her belt at just 20 years old.
Q Hair and Beauty owner, Anthony Barnes-Smith, said of Connor’s win: “Jasmine is always willing to be involved, she has a desire to master any challenge. Young sytlists like her don’t come along very often; it’s not just work to her, It’s a hobby – she eats, sleeps and drinks it!”
