Hampstead hairdresser Gary Ingham has tripled his business portfolio with the acquisition of two more salons in London’s St John’s Wood and Primrose Hill, formerly trading as Mowgli.

Following three years successful trading in his Hampstead salon, Ingham needed to expand in order to accommodate his growing client base. Together with business partner Sean Spence he accepted the opportunity presented when approached by the owners of Mowgli to acquire their business.

The group, which has Aveda as its professional partner, now boasts a 50-strong team of hair and beauty professionals – a number set to rise as the company is looking to recruit more talented people to join its salon, spa, and front of house teams.

All three names are due to trade under the Gary Ingham brand, following refitting and staff training to ensure the two new salons reflect the ambiance the original Gary Ingham salon.

“We have a very simple and traditional formula for running a business,” says Spence. “Deliver the very best hairdressing and the very best customer service – and success will follow. In the short term, we’re aiming for our little group of salons to be the best in north London; and in the long term, to be the best in London.”
