HJ’s 2014 British Hairdressing Business Awards winners announced
Business Newcomer, Wonderland Hair & Beauty
The winners of HJ’s 2014 British Hairdressing Business Awards have been revealed this week at a black-tie ceremony that brought leading industry names together to celebrate the best of the UK’s hair professionals.
Now in its 16th year, the event has become one of the most significant in the hairdressing business calendar, with sixteen award categories recognising the professionals who excel across all areas of hairdressing businesses.
Jayne Lewis-Orr, executive director of Hairdressers Journal International, hosted the event with Britain’s Got More Talent host, Stephen Mulhern, at the Lancaster London Hotel, and together presented each category winner with their trophy.
Business Director of the Year went to Amanda and Toby Dicker of The Chapel in Tunbridge Wells, while Independent Salon – Business Newcomer, sponsored by Salon International, was awarded to Livingston’s Wonderland Hair & Beauty.
Tunbridge Wells produced another winner, with one of the coveted Salon of the Year titles going to The Gallery Hairdressing, while the second was presented to Tommy’s Hair Company in Llandudno, Craig-y-Don.
“Each year the work presented by the entrants is of an incredible standard but this year the finalists have outdone themselves,” commented Lewis-Orr. “The competition has been very strong and the judges had a difficult job deciding the winners, but through our autonomous judging process, the right winners were awarded on the night.”
