Hooker & Young Darlington salon celebrates fifth anniversary

Hooker & Young Darlington recently celebrated its fifth birthday with a champagne reception for its top clients.

In 2010, the salon launched as a retail destination salon, with the entire ground floor dedicated to hair care and styling products. Taking on the environment of a boutique lifestyle store such as Space NK and Jo Malone, the Hooker & Young brand was the first salon group to make such a bold move.

Five years on and Hooker & Young Darlington has had a lot to celebrate. As current title holders of North Eastern Hairdresser of the Year and Franchisee of the Year, the salon has also won another four industry awards, including Retail and Local Salon of the Year.

Company director, Gary Hooker commented: “We knew from the start there was something special with the Darlington salon and to be here, celebrating its success five years on is a tremendous feeling. There is a strong bond within the team and it is their commitment and passion that has made this a destination salon.”
