Hoop Haircutters takes to the skies to promote its website

Essex salon Hoop Haircutters took to the skies last month to promote its Facebook page and website. Owner Tim Thomas, a flying enthusiast, first teamed up with Duxford Airfield for the campaign last year. But after boosting the number of hits on his salon’s website and doubling its Facebook fans, he decided to include it as part of the business’s ongoing marketing strategy. The sky banner is now flown above the salon’s local area whenever there’s a public event. Thomas says: “The response we’ve had has been absolutely astounding. We’re welcoming new clients daily and the amount of people who are following us now on Facebook has more than tripled! It started off as a bit of a laugh on a Sunday afternoon but it really has benefited Hoop Haircutters a lot. It’s amazing.”
