Jack Howard colours A Streetcar Named Desire stars Gillian Anderson and Vanessa Kirby

Celebrity colourist Jack Howard has tended to the tresses of Gillian Anderson and Vanessa Kirby as they tread the boards in A Streetcar Named Desire at the Old Vic.

Howard, international colour director at Neville Hair & Beauty, is credited with bringing Balayage to the UK and has built a reputation as London’s go-to colourist for society girls, models and actresses.

A long time client of Howards, Kirby had her brunette shade refreshed, keeping the shiny, multi tonal hue that he gave her when he took her from blonde to brunette for a previous film role.

Kirby recommended Howard to Anderson, who enlisted him to get her hair looking super blonde for both the stage role and her TV show, Hannibal. Howard gave her all over micro baby lights to achieve a strong blonde shade that will work both on the stage and on screen.

The two actresses thanked Howard by posting a selfie of themselves holding a poster saying “We love our hair Jack.”
