Lancashire salon owner boosts business with addition of training centre
Lancashire-based nail technician and salon owner, Julie Lee, is bringing innovation to her local nail and beauty scene by creating a new-look business that incorporates training alongside its treatment menu.
Lee, an award-winning beauty specialist, has moved her business to new premises in Poulton-le-Flyde and rebranded as The Nail and Beauty Lounge. The historic building that is now the business’ base has been tailored to the needs of an expanded team, including a new salon manger and receptionist.
The new premises boast exciting features such as a contemporary make-up bar alongside treatment rooms offering everything from pedicures and LVL last treatments, to waxing, spray tans and ear piercing.
Lee has also been able to create brand new training facilities, allowing her to make use of her status as a PTTLLS-qualified Educator for Celebrity Range, as well as host a line-up of industry experts who will deliver specialist training and treatments. The experts include 12 times British nail champion, Gemma Lambert, and the founder of The Cheshire Image Clinic, Michelle Irving.
Training courses range from acrylic nails, manicure and pedicure to lashes, spray tanning and threading. Attendees will earn recognised qualifications that will help them establish their own home or mobile businesses, or help them find work in the beauty sector.
Running alongside the training courses are nail art courses for children and teenagers, as well as make-up workshops for women using the Lynette page range of cosmetics retailed at the salon.
