London College of Beauty Therapy announces Student Awards winners 2015
The London College of Beauty Therapy (LCBT), the UK’s only specialist funded Beauty Training college, recently revealed the winner’s of their annual Student Awards.
Held at the Fashion Retail Academy in London W1 on 5 June, the event celebrated the college’s 20th anniversary as well as the achievements of its 2000 students over the past year. Attended by nearly 300 students, tutors and prize sponsors, including many leading companies from the beauty and health and fitness arena, it was hosted by LCBT’s head of student engagement and former famed make-up artist and presenter, Charlene Scott.
Eileen Cavalier OBE, founder and chairman of LCBT said: “I am delighted that we can celebrate today, not only the successes of this year’s students, but those of the past twenty years, many of whom have gone onto forge highly successful careers. Over this time LCBT has helped provide real career opportunities for over 20,000 women.”
The prestigious Student of the Year Award went to Nikolett Vegh for her outstanding commitment and work ethic. A special award was presented to Marie Turone who had recently received the accolade of winning her regional live heat of the World Skills Beauty Therapy competition and, if she triumphs at the UK final, will go on to compete in the World finals to be held in Abu Dhabi.
