Matrix HOT Team 2014_500
Matrix has announced the line-up for its brand new House of Talent team, with the winners set to embark on a yearlong journey to nurture and develop their creativity and skills.

Established for the first time and to be known as H.O.T., the team of talented hairdressers will be led by award-winning Matrix guest artist and former Destination.Fame title holder, Ashleigh Hodges.

The winners, who secured their place on the team following a digital challenge and live auditions held by Matrix, include Tilly Pen from Errol Douglas Salon, Niall McNulty of Dudleys Hair and Beauty, Rosanna Sarah Binns from Ethos Hairdressing and Jonathan Tucker of Hooker & Young.

Hodges led fellow panel judges matrix artist, Ross Taylor, matrix artistic manager, Sarah Defriend, and education manager Deborah Bees to appraise the results of the challenges set to the applicants. One such challenge included creating a look from scratch in just two hours, presenting their inspiration and model to the panel before showcasing the creative skills in a speed shoot.

The H.O.T. team will work together on range of platform opportunities and enjoy custom-designed education, including co-starring on the Fellowship Stage at Salon International, attending Matrix Education courses and auditioning for the Matrix artistic team.

Hodges explained, “The H.O.T. team will receive loads of education; from cutting with Ross Taylor to colour, hair up, avant garde and inspiration days with myself and the rest of the Matrix team. I want to spend proper time with these amazing up and coming hairdressers and help develop their careers.”
