Milton Keynes barbers unite in aid of Prostate Cancer UK

A squad of Milton Keynes’ finest barbers has joined forces as Barbers United to raise awareness for Prostate Cancer UK by taking part in the charity’s Father’s Day Skydive challenge.

Jamie Roberts of Just Gents and Martin Ruff of Ruffcutz have teamed up with Max Osborn and Pawan Deep of No.1 Barbers to volunteer for the mass fundraising skydive at Brackley airfield in Oxfordshire on Sunday 15th June.

The Barbers United team were motivated to take on the 10,000 feet jump after Jamie and Martin’s father, Tony Roberts, overcame prostate cancer, and they hope to raise over £2,000 to help the charity fund research into causes and treatments, as well as provide support to those affected.

Jamie said, “After I saw a link for Men United on Facebook and read about the great work the charity does, I realised that, as a barber in my dad’s shop, Just Gents, I’m in a good position to help raise awareness of a cancer that affects just gents!”

He continued, “Hopefully we can inspire the men of Milton Keynes and all over the UK to unite for their own challenge and we can all help cut cancer out together.”
