NHBF Top 100 Influencer Awards Expands to Meet Unprecedented Demand

The National Hair & Beauty Federation (NHBF) is thrilled to announce a major evolution of its highly anticipated Top 100 Influencer Index. Now in its fifth year, and due to overwhelming demand and the incredible talent within the sector, the awards will be divided into two distinct categories: the Top 50 Hair Influencer Index and the Top 50 Beauty Influencer Index.

As part of this exciting development, the NHBF Top 50 Beauty Influencer Index will be unveiled live at Tones of Beauty in London on 30 June 2025 taking over the Tones of Beauty, Excel, London to celebrate the most influential figures in the beauty sector. This highly anticipated moment will spotlight the trailblazers, educators, and trendsetters who are shaping the future of beauty and aesthetics. Attendees at Tones of Beauty will be the first to witness the official reveal, making this a must-attend event for industry professionals and fans alike.

With the NHBF Top 100 Influencer Index continuing to grow, this year brings a renewed emphasis on recognising the achievements of professionals across both the hair and beauty sectors. The Index takes to Tones of Beauty to celebrate the creators, educators, and trendsetters shaping the sector today. Tones of Beauty Expo is the UK’s premier professional trade show dedicated to multicultural beauty. Scheduled for 30 June – 1 July 2025 at ExCeL London, this two-day B2B event brings together over 4,000 beauty professionals and more than 200 international exhibitors, all under one roof for business development, networking, and innovation.

To be eligible for inclusion in the NHBF Top 100 Influencer Index, individuals must have met the following criteria: they must be a professional actively working in the hairdressing, barbering, beauty, spa, nails, or aesthetics industries. In addition, they should either hold a relevant qualification from a regulated awarding organisation or have a minimum of five years’ continuous experience within their field.

These clear and consistent standards ensure that the Index represents the very best talent and influence across the sector—those who are setting trends, educating others, and inspiring audiences every day.

Following the close of nominations, a longlist of the Top 250 is compiled. This list is then reviewed through an independent evaluation process, which considers a range of key metrics. These include each nominee’s social media following, the level of engagement their content generates—such as shares, mentions, links, and impressions—and the overall reach of their posts, assessing how widely their influence extends.

NHBF Chief Executive, Caroline Larissey, said:

“The demand for the NHBF Top 100 Influencer Awards has been absolutely phenomenal. Splitting the awards into two categories allows us to truly showcase the incredible talent and influence across both the hair and beauty sector. We are particularly excited to reveal the Top 50 Beauty Influencers live at Tones of Beauty, giving them the platform and recognition they truly deserve.”

“Following the success of our Nigerian show – Beauty West Africa – we’re thrilled to bring Tones of Beauty to the UK, London from June 30th to July 1st 2025, where there’s a clear need for better representation in the multicultural beauty space,” says Jamie Hill, Managing Director and Founding Partner of BtoB Events. “This event will spotlight a diverse range of beauty and hair products, giving visitors the chance to discover new brands, learn techniques through live demos and talks at our 2-day conference, network with celebrated industry professionals, and find products that truly meet their needs.”
