No time like the present

We caught up with Lucy Dawe from Pulse Light Clinic as she reveals exactly why January is the perfect time to add aesthetic treatments to your business.

Do you often see that the beginning of a new year has an influx of new clientele?

The best time of year generally is winter, technically October is the best time to get all your sessions in before the beginning of summer. New year is still a good time to get 60% of your treatments in as we could get an estimated 5 sessions in before the start of summer. Sometimes what can happen is after 5/6 sessions we’re leaving bigger intervals between sessions which means it will be over the summer period. If you have a tan or are planning holidays, then the sessions can resume after the tan from holidays have faded.

With a new year beginning and ‘new year, new me’ almost in full swing, would you say that there is no time like the present to introduce aesthetics treatments into your business?

January is a great time to start aesthetic treatments as people want to make changes, they have new year’s resolutions. A lot of clients come in saying they have wanted treatments for a long time, and they don’t know why they have waited so long.

How can aesthetics treatments work for clients who are after a brand-new look for 2020?0

At Pulse Light Clinic we are introducing loads of new treatments in January, we have the EmSculpt which tones the stomach and buttocks which will give a Brazilian style bum lift, it will also tone the inner thighs and the arms as well. It’s a fast treatment which takes 35 minutes and you can see results within 2 weeks and the results progressively get better for 12 weeks. It destroys the fat tissue inside the muscles which we are unable to reach with weight loss very easily and with surgery, we can’t reach it with cool-sculpting either. It will be a great post Christmas treatment to help people feel better about themselves. We’ve also got the hydra-facial coming which is a deep cleansing treatment also provides a peel which will rejuvenate and freshen up the skin. We’re launching a hi-tech hospital standard LED machine for the face which rejuvenates the skin, there is no downtime at all with this treatment.

If a business owner is looking to introduce aesthetics treatments to their repertoire as of 2020, are there any specific treatments/ machines they should go for first and why?

Laser hair removal is definitely a treatment that is in demand and will never go out of business. Everyone has always got hair to remove. We have the most expensive machines which are Cynosure and Candela and do a lot of research into equipment and trial and testing before buying any machine. Experience is key to the industry and finding people that know what they are talking about and have tried and tested a variety of machines, it is really important.
