Remi Cachet announces Image of the Year competition winner
Last month leading hair extensions brand Remi Cachet asked its stylists to select one image that best represented their work to be entered into its Image of the Year competition. The call-out received an “amazing response” – and a panel of judges short-listed the entries to the top five.
“The response was amazing and it was quite difficult to short list the entries down to just five,” says educator Phil Tapping. “The finalists’ looks showcased beautiful natural looking hair extensions and I’m glad I didn’t have to pick the outright winner.”
The finalists were then put up for a public vote on Facebook where industry insiders were asked to vote for their favourite look.
Super Stylist Lisa Archer, owner of LA Hairvoltion Hair Extensions Studio in Sandach, Cheshire, was announced as the winner after receiving the most ‘likes’.
The hair featured in the winning image was created using a Remi Cachet Hollywood Weft in 16-inch and colour 6/22, with the end look styled using a 45mm wand. Archer describes her hair extension application style as romantic, feminine and glamorous, which is definitely portrayed in the winning image.
On winning, she comments: “I only saw the competition in the last few days but knew instantly which image to submit. Having applied this weft a few months ago and posting it on social media, I have received so many enquiries and consultations specifically requesting this look. It’s become a bit of a running joke in the salon.”
As part of her prize Archer will be supported with additional promotions from the brand and will be featured in its blogs and upcoming campaigns.
