Sassoon Academy Announced as The Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s Third Centre of Excellence

The Fellowship for British Hairdressing is delighted to announce Sassoon Academy as their latest Centre of Excellence.

Sassoon Academy, known for their prestigious heritage and exceptional education, is the Fellowship’s third centre of excellence, alongside West Suffolk College and Westrow Academy.

Sassoon Academy was announced as a Centre of Excellence following an extremely successful relationship with the Fellowship, which includes the Sassoon Scholarship, Project Sassoon, and many mentor days, which has included members of the Sassoon Education Team.

The academy’s state of the art facilities deliver exceptional education and training to hairdressers around the world and were a match made in heaven for the latest addition to the Fellowship’s Centre of Excellence portfolio. Sassoon Academy is recognised for having the highest standards in technical excellence, precision cutting and perfect colour placement and has been a loyal partner within the Fellowship for many years.

Delighted to announce the new Centre of Excellence, CEO for the Fellowship for British Hairdressing, Barry Stephens, said, “We are elated to have to have Sassoon Academy as our third Centre of Excellence. It has become one of the most established and recognised training facilities in the UK known for its incredible education team and training facilities. We look forward to working with them and giving students more opportunities to flourish in the hairdressing industry.”

After being announced as a Centre of Excellence, all Sassoon students will gain a Fellowship Membership, allowing them to gain access to training and events across the UK to further enhance their education.

To celebrate the news, the Fellowship will be holding a networking event at the House of Sassoon in May to present the plaque.

President for The Fellowship for British Hairdressing, Robert Eaton, said: “Sassoon has been a great partner over the years, and we look forward to Sassoon Academy becoming our Third Centre of Excellence.  We are passionate about this partnership with Sassoon Academy, as it’s such a great opportunity to allow students to access training, education, and materials.”

Debbie Webster, Sassoon’s Global CEO, said: “I’m delighted to announce our exciting partnership with the Fellowship, as their next Centre of Excellence. The Fellowship is an essential part of our industry. We’re pleased to be a part of their journey, in helping the next generation of hairdressers develop and grow.”

The Sassoon Scholarship is now open (8th of April), entries close on the 13th of May 2024.
