The Sassoon creative team recently hosted its annual educational seminar to help raise funds and awareness within the hairdressing community for industry charity, Hair & Beauty Benevolent (HABB).

As long-time supporters of HABB, the team organised an intimate event with guests welcomed into the Wella London academy to an up close and personal evening with Sassoon UK creative director Bruce Masefield and colour director Caroline Spencer as they compared the Sassoon Creative Team.

Presenters shared their inspirations from Sassoon Academy and Sassoon Salon collections past and present in sections for technical colouring and precision cuttings, before presenting models from the Sassoon Academy’s SS15 collection, The Group.

Those on stage included technicians Abigail Coates from Sassoon South Molton Street salon and Isla Dommet from Sassoon Covent Garden salon, Sandor Veress-Gyori from Sassoon Covent Garden, and hairdressers Oon Ng from Sassoon Academy, Michael Pliz from Sassoon City Men, Kim Lomax from Sassoon South Molton Street salon, Lucy Ward from Sassoon Kings Road salon and Marco Amoroso from Sassoon Covent Garden salon.

“We always enjoy these evenings; being able to share our expertise as a group whilst also giving back to a great cause like HABB is really important,” commented Masefield. “We’d love for more salons to do the same – host an evening for HABB and share your skills and expertise with others.”
