Scottish hairdressing chain, Rainbow Room International, has announced it is to star in Do or Dye: Hair Academy, a new BBC fly-on-the-wall documentary charting a year-in-the-life of a group of students from the hairdressing training academy.

Narrated by Edith Bowman, the four-part series will lift the lid on the ups and downs of salon life for the students as they work their way to becoming stylists and establishing their spot in the industry.

Set to transmit later in the year on BBC One Scotland, the show stars wannabe stylists Binky, Angel, Alijah, Austin and Syd, who will all try to showcase their skills and stand out to salon directors John, Riccardo, Dylan and David, as well as academy director, Leigh.

Linda Stewart, co-owner of Rainbow Room International commented: “The show was a great opportunity for us to show the public what can be achieved with a career in hairdressing and the hard work, dedication and commitment that it takes to be successful in the hairdressing industry.”
