The April Issue has landed!
It’s been a long time coming, but we have made it to April, which means the day we’ve all been counting down to is on the horizon.
Are you ready? It’s absolutely normal if you’re feeling some pre-first day nerves or not knowing what to expect after such a long time of being away from your much-loved salon, colleagues and clients. Our advice to you is just enjoy it. Once you get back into the swing of things, it will feel as though you never left.
Similarly, to the last re-opening after the initial lockdown, we saw a crackdown on hygiene and various measures which were put in place specifically to reduce the spread of the virus, and this time is no different, apart from the fact, you know what to expect. In this issue, we’ve got a large feature explaining how introducing payment systems and salon software can have not only a vast effect on your hygiene levels but also the immense results your business as a whole can gain from it, too, in terms of bouncing back.
On the topic of bouncing back, I am sure you will want everything to look and feel perfect for the return of your clients, which is why, with the help of some industry experts, we’ve put together a huge section on salon tools and brand image. We explore the knock-on effect your tools have on your reputation and what should be considered when investing in new products and equipment.
Advice has been a key factor in what’s been getting you through the past hellish 12 months, which is why we caught up with Tia Roqaa, Founder and CEO of Roccabox, as she reveals how salon businesses can benefit from the booming beauty box industry during and post-pandemic.
Of course, all this content is alongside our regular features, and one you certainly won’t want to miss is our Create This Style this month. If you’re stuck for nail inspo for your first influx of clients, you must get yourself to page 20!
Finally, I wish you all the luck in the world as you go back to what you do best this month. Just look how far you have come; now, anything is possible.
All our love from everyone at team Salon Magazine and please remember to get in touch if there’s something in particular you’d like to read about.
