The Fellowship for British Hairdressing announces F.A.M.E. team 2015

FAMEL-R: Peter Burkill, Amelia Evans, Lucy Tuck and Luke Benson

The new 2015 F.A.M.E. team was announced at the Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s Luncheon and Awards at London’s Dorchester Hotel on Monday 1st December.

Peter Burkill from HOB, Amelia Evans from Russell Eaton, Luke Benson from D&J Ambrose and Lucy Tuck from Marc Antoni are the talented four that were selected by a judging panel of industry experts.

The much-coveted position on the team will provide the up-and-coming hairdressers with a platform to launch their careers, with opportunities including workshops with some of the industry’s most respected icons, stage work at industry events, photo shoots and the chance to travel to Australia to participate at the world-renowned Hair Expo.

Peter Burkhill, who is part of the Junior Education Team in the HOB Academy, commented of his place on the team: “With a strong passion for education, this has always been a huge goal of mine. It is the ultimate finishing school for hairdressers and a year of perfecting my craft will be unbelievable.”

Stylist and Russell Eaton Art Team member, Amelia Evans, has achieved a long-term ambition by securing her place: “I have wanted to be part of this amazing experience since I was 16 and got to know what Robert [Eaton] had achieved – I was instantly desperate to be 21 to try and get in. And this year I am finally here!”

Artistic director at D& J Ambrose, Luke Benson, agrees, commenting: “Since I started hairdressing, the F.A.M.E. team was always my biggest goal; seeing industry icons that were members of past teams, and watching new team members progressing in the industry made me realise it is the ultimate team to grow with.”

And lastly, Lucy Tuck, who is master colour expert at Marc Antoni, when asked what she is most looking forward to, said: “Meeting my mentors and absorbing all of their knowledge and being able to experience all types of opportunities in the industry, which before would have only been a dream.”
