The Salon Group win customer services Stars Competition

the salon groupTHE SALON has been declared the winner of a public vote to find which shop gives the best customer service in Letchworth Garden City.

Love Letchworth’s popular annual Customer Service Stars competition had over 25 shops nominated in its initial stage, with five shortlisted to battle it out for the public vote.

After two weeks of feverish voting and determined campaigning, and with over 800 votes being cast via Love Letchworth’s Facebook page and website, the results are now in.

The favourite shop for customer service and winner of Love Letchworth’s Customer Service Star 2013 award is The Salon, located in Station Place, Letchworth.

Nominated for its attentive and friendly staff and high levels of professional expertise The Salon scooped top place in a closely contested competition fighting off stiff competition from the other shortlisted shops.

The Salon Group’s owner, Danny Eastwell, receiving the award from Town Centre Manager, Lee Boswell, was quick to recognise the achievements of his team: “We have 23 staff who currently receive monthly Customer Service training to ensure that we stay up to date.

“What’s good for today might not be good for tomorrow and so it is vital to remain fresh. Winning the award is one thing, maintaining it is another. My partners, Gary and Chantal, are very very proud of all the team.”

The other businesses shortlisted for the award were Cox’s of Letchworth, Funkydory, The Avenue and, last year’s winners, David’s Bookshop.

“Thank you to everyone that took the time out to vote. All five businesses exemplify the difference good Customer Service can make in trade. They are thriving during tough times and this can not be coincidence.” said Lee Boswell.
