Westrow director Marc Westerman takes on Great North Run in memory of his brother
This will be the first Westerman has taken on a running challenge of this size and he will complete the half marathon on behalf of two charities close to his hear. The Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU) at Harrogate District Hospital helped to care for Marc’s brother, Jamie Westerman, before he passed away in December 2013. Jamie spent more than 10 years working with Westrow. The other charity to benefit from Marc’s fundraising is Martin House Hospice, based in Marc’s hometown of Boston Spa, which cares for children with life-limiting conditions.
Westrow said: “I am very excited and proud to be taking part in this year’s Great North Run, one of the greatest half marathons in the world, and hope to raise as much money as possible for two very worthy local causes.”
