We asked MUA and Otostick user Cara Hogan a few questions about why she uses Otostick…

Hi Cara, thanks for speaking to us about Otostick, first of all why did you start using Otostick?
Well I’ve been so self-conscious of my ears from a very young age, one in particular sticks out more than the other, I always would have my hair down or if I had my hair up I’d make sure I had curtain bangs covering my ear.

And where did you first see or hear about Otostick?
I saw someone I know talking about it on TikTok and just knew I needed to give it a try!

What difference does Otostick make to your confidence or how you feel?
Since getting my hands on Otostick it has changed my confidence so much. I now love having my hair up which still feels so unusual for me. I also love how comfortable they are on, I don’t even notice having Otostick on during the day.

So Cara, what tips would you give to someone trying them for the first time?
If you’re trying Otostick for the first time make sure to avoid touching the adhesive after taking off the papers or they won’t last as long as they should! Oh, and make sure the area is really clean first.

Anything else you feel is relevant or important for people to know?
Otostick has been genuinely a game changer for my confidence, especially when getting photographs taken or on special occasions.

Thanks Cara, that’s so good to hear! Now thinking as a beauty professional, do you feel there is an opportunity to introduce your clients to Otostick?
I definitely think there is an opportunity to introduce them to my clients where I know they’re also self-conscious of their ears. As I work in a salon, I think it’s a great way to advertise when people are getting their hair in an up style.

Would you feel comfortable talking about the product to client who you feel may benefit?
Yes absolutely! I think I have a very strong relationship with my clients. I would be totally comfortable to have the conversation about otostick to clients that I know are insecure over their ears.

How would you prefer to sell the product? Would you sell as a retail pack at the end or maybe apply a pair of Otostick for the client during the session?
As I’m a make-up artist and I provide a service I think I would prefer to apply them on my clients to make sure they get the best results. But if they wanted to take some home, maybe both options would work!

Thanks Cara that’s really helpful, just one last question, would you recommend Otostick to your fellow professionals?
I would one hundred percent recommend them to other professionals, especially hairdressers. I think it would probably suit that industry the most.
