NAOMI BROOKS HOSTS WELLBEING EVENT IN SUPPORT OF VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC ABUSE

Award winning hairdresser, educator and women’s advocate, Naomi Brooks hosted a special wellbeing and pamper event in Manchester. The event brought together members of the local community, wellbeing professionals and volunteers to support women affected by domestic abuse.

Supported by Soroptimist International Manchester, the event was created to offer a safe, uplifting and restorative experience for survivors, with a focus on self-care, confidence building and emotional wellbeing. Aiming to highlight the importance of community collaboration, with local businesses and volunteers coming together to donate time, services and products in support of the day.

12 women were welcomed throughout the day, which was dedicated to relaxation and empowerment, with complimentary treatments, wellness activities, refreshments and meaningful conversation designed to create a positive and supportive environment. The event aimed to provide attendees with not only a moment of calm and care, but also a reminder that they are seen, valued and supported within the community.

Naomi Brooks said:

“This event was about creating a space where women could simply take a breath, feel looked after and reconnect with themselves. Small acts of kindness and care can make a huge difference, especially for those who have experienced trauma or difficult circumstances. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who helped bring the day together.”

Soroptimist International Manchester part of a global volunteer movement of women who work together to inspire action, transform lives, and make a meaningful difference while enjoying friendship and purpose along the way, supported this initiative as part of its ongoing commitment to tackling violence against women and supporting vulnerable members of the community.
