CLUBSTAR ART TEAM SPEND THE DAY WITH CASEY COLEMAN MULTI AWARD WINNING HAIR STYLIST
The ClubStar Art Team travelled to Goldsworthy’s in Swindon to spend the day with multi-award-winning hair stylist, Casey Coleman. Casey shared insight into how to upgrade their social media, focusing on how to film the perfect transition shot and how to increase their following. The afternoon was reserved for experimenting with vivid colours, exploring different application techniques and how to take inspiration from images and put your own spin on it!
Amelia Krasinski said: “We had the most amazing day with Casey Colman! We spent the morning learning all his tips and tricks on how to elevate our social media. I found it helpful and can’t wait to see how it grows! And then in the afternoon, we got hands on learning creative colour techniques and how to take inspiration from a picture and be able to create! We also gained a lot of colour knowledge – thank you so much Casey for an amazing day!”

PROJECT EXTEND SPEND THE DAY WITH ROB WOOD AND ALL THINGS HAIR TRANSFORMATIONS!
Project Extend travelled to Novo Cabelo in Durham, the home of Rob Wood. Rob has been a salon owner for 17yrs, he then sold and self-taught himself working with hairpieces. Rob found a passion and started his company Novo Cabelo during the epidemic in 2020. For the team, he created a day of a ‘Look and Learn’ session, as well as a hands-on workshop, highlighting, wash and blow-drying clients with hair systems on. It was a great introduction into this world of hair loss.
Amy Christie comments: “Rob has something that is hard to put your finger on a spark and an energy that is contagious. His manner and way with the clients/models were beautiful to watch he and they both let us into places that most wouldn’t. Hair replacement can be such a sensitive subject, but our day was filled with fun and laughter, everyone was at ease and I personally feel that’s the best way to learn, it was like we had all known each other for years. The amount of knowledge we gained in one day was unbelievable but oddly not overwhelming and to try and choose a best bit will be tricky, what really stood out to me was how REAL everything was from the looks we helped create to the genuine hard facts that some extension/replacement brands try and wash over. Care & compassion were at the core of Novo Cobelo without a doubt, but art and style followed very closely behind a perfect blend of beautiful hairdressing with a conscience.”

PROJECT COLOUR SPEND THE DAY WITH SEUNG KI BAEK & KIRSTY JUDGE FROM RUSH ACADEM
Project Colour spent the day at RUSH Academy with Seung Ki Baek, Creative Colour Expert & Kirsty Judge, Artistic Team Member & Colour Educator. The theme for the day was all about Creative, Consumer & UV Colours, with Seung and Kirsty preparing a jam-packed day with lots of tips, tricks, and personal stories about their mistakes and the lessons they’ve learned along the way. Kirsty showed the team some super creative colour placements that are perfect for both commercial and creative work, whilst Seung Ki Baek took us through all the collections he’s created, teaching them about UV hair colour and allowing the team to get hands-on while creating their own patterns with his guidance.
Jade Shirley comments: “I had an unforgettable day at Rush Academy with Baek and Kirsty! Beginning to end, it was filled with tips and insights that you just can’t find anywhere else. Baek showcased his famous UV looks and explained how he breaks down colour, shade, and texture to create his incredible look. I left buzzing with so many new ideas and excitement.”
