Doing Good Feels Good

Supporting a charity can be a great way to create memories, boost staff morale and fulfil CSR goals. Phil Brace, The Little Princess Trust’s Chief Executive, explains why the charity is the perfect fit for hair professionals and gives his top five tips for those salons wanting to get involved.

Collect Hair Donations

At The Little Princess Trust, we can only make the wigs we provide to young people thanks to the hair donations we receive from our supporters. Many hair professionals play a vital role in cutting the ponytails that are sent onto us. Help us by explaining to your clients how they can donate their hair while also ensuring the hair is the right length and cut in the correct way for our wig-knotters.

Offer Free Haircuts

You can take your support to the next level by becoming one of our Hairdressing Hairoes and offer free haircuts to customers donating longer lengths of hair to us. Many of our hairdressing supporters encourage those donating their hair to set up a fundraising page so their family and friends can help raise the funds needed to turn their long locks into a beautiful wig.

Spread the Word

We want every child and young person up to the age of 24 to know we are here to help them should they need a free, real hair wig. Help us to promote our free wig provision service by displaying our window stickers and mirror clings or make our leaflets freely available in your salon. These items are all inside our free, salon packs. Order one at www.littleprincesses.org.uk.

Host a Funky Hair Funday

Funky Hair Fundays are great fun and a brilliant way to support The Little Princess Trust – no matter how long your hair might be. Simply style your hair or head in the most imaginative way possible to raise funds and the profile of our work for children with cancer. Use the Power of Social Media

Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn are all brilliant tools for getting noticed by lots of people.
