Hairdressers Can “Cut Out Landfill” for Recycle Week 2024
This Recycle Week (14th-20th October 2024), salons across the UK are stepping up their green game, helping to “cut out landfill” by recycling not just plastic and paper, but also hair, foil, and colour tubes.
As part of the nationwide effort to boost sustainability in the beauty industry, hairdressers can recycle hair clippings, used foil, and empty colour tubes, alongside the usual suspects like plastic bottles and paper. Hair can be recycled in 10+ different ways, from compost to being used to clean up oil spills and to being used by artists, architects and designers as a new material, while foil and tubes are reprocessed into new aluminum products.
This Recycle Week, Green Salon Collective are offering hairdressers the chance to start recycling from just a £24 investment! Not only will you be helping the planet, but you’ll also earn £100s from recycling through the Green Fee system – if you don’t make a profit, you’ll get your money back!
Recycling your hair, foil and colour tubes with Green Salon Collective not only reduces your salon’s carbon footprint but can help your hairdressing business stand out and gain new clients.
