RefectoCil Blonde Tint (RRP £6.10+VAT)

RefectoCil Blonde Brow can be used as an oxidative tint and is also a custom made, safe brow bleach.

For clients who want their brows lightened, this product can be used to lift natural pigment from the brows, the same way hair bleach is used. Blonde Brow is safe and formulated to be used on the brows.

It can also be used as a pre-treatment for very coarse, unruly brow hair before a tint.  These troublesome hairs, which don’t tint well, work great if a pre-bleach is done first, as the cuticles will be open allowing intensive colour absorption and enhancing final colour results.

If you have a client who wants to go for a stark contrast to their natural brow colour, the brows can first be bleached up to 3 shade lighter in 20 minutes, and then tint can be applied straight after.  This is particularly good if your client wants to go for a very dark shade or one of the fashion colours like bright blue or red.  By removing the pigment (bleaching) of the natural brow hairs, it creates a blank canvas to work on, giving you options that you wouldn’t have and so is an essential product in your beauty kit.

Even though it might sound scary, Blonde Brow by RefectoCil, is simple to use.  Mix 30 drops of creme activator (not liquid) to 1cm of bleach.  Mix with a brush and the consistency will look like frosting.  Keep mixing for a couple of minutes.  If it still looks frosty add more activator until the consistency is creamy and glossy.  With the clients’ eyes closed, apply using a tinting brush and make sure you are covering all the brow hairs.  Apply opposite to the hair growth direction to ensure the base of the hair is coated.  Keep checking every few minutes until you achieve the shade you want.  Remove thoroughly using a foam cleanser and make sure all the product is removed.  If this isn’t done thoroughly enough, the bleaching process will continue, so thorough removal is essential.  You can repeat this treatment every 4-6 weeks but keep a good check on the quality of hair and recommend a brow conditioner to use at home.

As with all tinting, check with your insurance that this is covered and comply with their patch testing requirements.

Important Note: RefectoCil Blonde Brow is for Brow Use Only, Not for Lashes.

Brow bleaching or brow lightening is a very underestimated treatment, with so many advantages and benefits.

When working to harmonise hair and brow colour it can gently lighten the brow hair by 3 shades, creating lighter warmer tones for dark brows or a naturally lightened look, perfect for the autumn winter brow trend this season as seen on catwalks.

It can also be used for string bold contrasting brow looks where your client seeks strong vibrant reds or prior to tinting for those super strong resilient brows. Brow lightening will enhance and allow strong hairs to colour easily and it’s fabulous as a pre-treatment for the stubborn grey hair. Don’t be scared to give it a go!
