The November issue has landed!

Can you hear that? The faint sound of ‘All I want for Christmas is you’ by Mariah Carey playing in the background. That’s right… we’re almost there people! Sorry if I just stressed you out massively by reminding you just how close the festivities are, I’m about to ramp it up a level too by talking all things ‘Christmas Gift Sets’, you will be amazed by some of the experts tips on how to boost your retail revenue just by the positioning of your Christmas products section! Madness.

Talking of stress… November 2nd-6th marks International Stress Awareness Week and with heightened emotions being inevitable during these unprecedented times, we are noticing the importance of remaining calm and helping clients and staff to do so too. Salons are, of course, a place we tend to relax, but remember that your clients quite simply won’t be able to do so if you’re not relaxed too – you must take care of yourselves.

Ok and now back to Christmas talk, well, kind of. Recruiting temporary staff for Christmas to be precise. We know this can be a challenge for some of you as advertising for temporary staff comes with its problems, in the sense you never fully know what you’re going to get. We’ve spoken to some of the industry professionals who revealed their tips on how to attract the right candidates when employing temporary staff members to help with the painfully busy November/December festive period.

We also have expert commentary on choosing the right supplier of hair extensions and as Anti-Bullying Week takes place in England from November 16th-20th, we have the experts on hand as they reveal which red flags to look out for in the work place.

That’s not even half of it, as this, as always, is alongside all of your favourite regular features including Rising Star, Salon of The Month, Essential 5 and that wonderful Social Media Look Book of ours! Enjoy and take care.
