Since its launch in 2014, Classy Nails has been making its mark in the nail industry, taking on the major players. We speak with Karen Thomson, Managing Director of Classy Nails.

Where did the idea for Classy brand come from?

I am a nail addict and love beautiful nails, but the leading brands are just too expensive to justify paying for. We have created the same quality product at a much more affordable cost so everyone can enjoy and access the Classy brand.

What is your company motto?

“Be Your Own Type of Classy!” We have a shade for everyone.

What do you think has been the key to your success?

Ooh, lots of things spring to mind – obviously good customer service is a must.  Then of course the quality products themselves. Our range of +250 vibrant UV Gel shades offer long-lasting shine and are chip-resistant. We are offering an affordable luxury to consumers. What we offer really is amazing value for money.

Also, unlike many other UV gel polish suppliers, we offer a comprehensive range of professional items, including nail treatments, manicure/pedicure products, files, tools, and acrylics.

Do people question your pricing?

Yes of course they do. £5.95 is an amazing price for a UV Gel polish, however on trying our products they are converted. Our feedback and reviews have been overwhelming; it’s all about affordability in tandem with high quality. All our range of UV Gel polishes are free from harmful chemicals and hypo–allergenic. Furthermore, we are fully compliant and registered on the European Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP), whereas many suppliers are not.  We are 100% fully compliant.

What trends have you experienced this summer?

This summer our neon shades have proved a great hit. We have a range of six neon shades.

Then of course we have seen the rise of jelly nails which resulted in the launch of our Crystal Glass Collection comprising of 12 simply stunning shades.

So what is next for Classy?

We will continue to build our Classy range but still keeping to our promise of offering good quality affordable products. We will focus on growing our client base in the UK and Europe within the salon sector, and of course bring on board new Training Academies and Colleges too. These sectors are growing from strength to strength and it is great to see new students coming through their training using the Classy brand.
