Part 3: Convert your Facebook “likes” into clients

Can Facebook fanpage be helpful in selling your services?

When viewing your fanpage a user interested in your salon’s services is sure to go to the Page Info section, which is why the content of this section is highly important (as previously mentioned).

You can also add a bookmark with your offer, price list of services, cosmetics, booking forms and discounts to your Facebook fanpage – the free application Woobox.com allows you to add a bookmark and upload an image with your salon’s offer.

Salon software integration

If you use a modern web-based salon management software like Versum.com in your salon, then you can further integrate it with Facebook to provide a seamless experience and increase sales. For example, you could easily place a call-to-action button on your salon’s fanpage to allow clients to book with you online when they visit your Facebook fanpage, taking them  directly to your online reservation panel.

Events

While organising in-salon events for your client – such as open days, sales and birthday parties – remember to add a new event to your fanpage, invite your friends and promote the event among users who are not already your salon’s Facebook fans.

To add a new event, click the Settings tab, then click Apps and Add App:

To encourage users to take part in your event, remember to:

  1. Add an interesting main photo for the event. The size of the photo is the same as the other graphic images added – use the free application previously mentioned.
  2. Give your customers precise reasons why they should participate, such as what they’ll gain or what cosmetic treatments will be available during the event.
  3. Fill in the location details – let people know where exactly the event is taking place.
  4. Systematically add new information about the event – each time you add a post to the event, participants will receive a notification.
  5. Encourage your customers to invite their friends to your event – this way you can spread the word about your services.
