Christmas is almost upon us and December is the perfect time for salons and spas to ensure they are collecting their client’s data which can then be utilised in the New Year.

Your clients are your most important asset so it is imperative that you enter the details for each and every one of them. You can then use the data for effective marketing and to increase your profits in the salon or spa’s quieter periods. Make a record of everything from your client’s favourite drink and birthday to the products they normally buy after their visit: the more information you have means the more targeted you can be.

Data collection is really important for all types of marketing activity, whether it be reactive or proactive. The start of a new year is a great time for proactive marketing particularly when seeking at new clients – it’s important that the ‘recommend a friend’ schemes and client loyalty schemes to your existing customers are being utilised in December so in January your customers are returning but there are also new people walking through the door!

Many of your clients will be getting their appointments booked in December ready for the party season so don’t miss out on the opportunity to set yourself up for next year.
