Tangle Teezer launch the Fine & Fragile hairbrush

Tangle Teezer hosted the launch of their brand-new detangling hairbrush called Fine & Fragile for fine, fragile and coloured hair as well as introducing their first ever celebrity/influencer hair squad.

After enjoying a beautiful breakfast spread and using the stunning wall of Tangle Teezers as the perfect selfie backdrop, five influencers took centre stage to be introduced as Tangle Teezer’s first ever hair squad. The event saw the product launch for the brand new ‘Fine & Fragile’ hairbrush at London’s Mortimer House. The brush has been specifically created for those with fine, fragile and colour treated hair as well as those dealing with hair loss and thinning.

With influencers now being referred to as the new celebrities, Tangle Teezer told us that it seemed only fitting to team up with our favourite hair-fluencers and create their very first hair squad. Five different hair types, five different audiences, five very different personalities, but one thing they do have in common is their love for Tangle Teezer hairbrushes.

The squad was made up of Lauren Pope who you’re more than likely to recognise from TOWIE, but Lauren is much more than a reality star. Lauren has owned her hair extensions company for over 10 years. Next is beauty journalist turned influencer for ‘beauty grownups’ Nadine Baggott, colour chameleon, Sophie Hannah – well known on Instagram and YouTube for experimenting with her hair and loves matching it to the colours of the ocean. Whatlydialikes who is known for her creative hair tutorials and finally Curlyproverbz who is a natural hair vlogger and mum of two, Farida is known for creating her own hair treatments from kitchen cupboard essentials and describes her hair as having a third child.

The hair squad each told the audience, made up of press and influencers, a unique story about their Tangle Teezer experiences. Nadine’s story was extra special as she used to have her hair coloured by founder & inventor of the brand, Shaun Pulfrey which meant she used one of the very first prototypes nearly 13 years ago, Nadine has never looked back.

Lauren told us her love affair with Tangle Teezer began when she realised the important of not only caring for her own hair, but her hair extensions too. She loves The Ultimate Finishing hairbrush as the tips of the teeth are gentle on the bonds.

Farida said that before discovering the Thick & Curly detangling hairbrush back in 2015, she would schedule tea breaks when detangling her hair as it would take up half of her day.

Sophie colours her hair at least 10 times a year but understands that with great colour comes greater responsibility in terms of hair care. She swears by our hairbrushes, since she discovered them four years ago and was one of the first adopters for our blow-styling range.

Lydia told us that she is no stranger to the brand, having asked for a Tangle Teezer for Christmas many moons ago. Her nimble fingers can create the most polished of up-do’s and she’s gained an impressive Instagram following from her fabulous how-to videos.

After Fine & Fragile was introduced, Jacqui Ripley Director of Brand Communications at Tangle Teezer, took to the microphone and told the audience that their detangling hairbrush family is now complete. They can now offer a detangling brush for every type of hair from fine, fragile and coloured, normal and thick to curly and afro.

The Fine & Fragile brush is recommended by the International Trichology Congress, so trichologist and co-founder of ITC, Iain Sallis, was invited to the event and gave an insightful talk on hair loss in women. He went in to detail on the very interesting fact that 1 in 3 women will experience hair loss during their lifetime.

The event was concluded by the creator and founder of Tangle Teezer, Shaun Pulfrey, who thanked everybody for coming and shared his excitement about the first ever hair squad.
