The July Issue has landed!
July?! Well, that came around quickly!
What better way to kick off the summer than with our biggest issue of the year? With this season being full of colour, we wanted to make sure we focused on all things bold, bright and beautiful. Our Colour of the Summer feature promises exactly that, as we’ve asked some of the industry’s most renowned colourists for tips on executing a certain colour and what they forecast to be the colour of the summer. Whilst on the subject of colour, our regular columnist and nail technician, Emily Cording, is talking all things festival nails as we gear up for their much-anticipated return!
As well as the weather heating up outside, the temperature is certainly rising in the beauty industry too as normality to a certain degree is resumed. With consumers finally able to prioritise themselves now salon doors are back open, our seven-page skincare feature looks into how you, as business owners, can capitalise on the ever-growing importance of skincare and what to look for in a product range. Whilst it’s one thing to use the products within an in-salon treatment, there’s a whole new world of revenue waiting for you in retailing said products. Simon Hill of SESH hairdressing has recently seen a spike in custom since revamping his retail area, which is why he has kindly shared his top tips to make your retail area stand out and receive greater profit.
I’m sure you’re also all aware that whatever goes on or is on offer within the salon, of course needs to be shouted about on social media. It can be tricky to get it right, in terms of attracting a wider audience, which is why Sarah Hartley at Blossom Tree Social explains why hashtags are helpful to increase engagement.
