The May Issue has landed!
The last few weeks have been full of excitement and lots of adjusting as you’ve been settling back into your salons after a battling through the third national lockdown since the pandemic begun. As we print this May issue, we’re thrilled that salon doors are now open and welcoming back a plethora of eager customers (some with questionable lockdown hair).
As many people gear up for their first salon visit in a considerably long time it will come as no surprise if they are feeling anxious about being in a public place. These feelings are only natural, so we have put together a client wellbeing feature, specifically surrounding post-pandemic appointments. By guaranteeing all clients feel comfortable and safe within your salon environment will have a huge knock-on effect to the reputation of your business, client retention rates and existing clients will spread the word about the good service, which could potentially mean an array of new customers too. Some industry experts have explained how optimum client wellbeing can be achieved along with some potential feelings/scenarios you could face in the coming weeks.
Whilst we speak about the possible emotions of your clients, this of course may still feel like a turbulent time for you, as a business owner. On page 54 we have a large feature which will hopefully put your mind at ease as we outline exactly what kind of financial help is still available to salons and business owners as the personal care sector re-opens after a challenging twelve months.
Not only did we get the news with Boris’s roadmap that there was a confirmed date for salons to re-open, but he also revealed that 30 guests will now be able to attend weddings as of May 17th so, of course, we’ve put together a wedding nails feature you won’t want to miss. Some nail gurus helped us put together a bit of a bridal nail bible as we look in to how important the preparation prior to wedding nails is, how bridal nail services should be marketed, and which shades your clients will be saying ‘I do’ to.
I feel like letting out a sigh of relief after talking about something relatively normal there! It’s been a long time coming, hasn’t it? This content is of course alongside all your regular favourites which we hope you love. Once again, myself and the team wish you lots of love, luck and fun as you get back into the swing of things and I cannot wait to see your lovely faces again soon… In person rather than through a screen!
