Every salon owner knows that continued training is invaluable when it comes to keeping your salon and your staff ahead.

With this in mind Zen Luxury Hair Extensions offer first-class training courses, catering for all abilities, from beginners to professionals or stylists who simply want a refresher course.

Zen’s mission is simple – to bring hair extension education to all salons in the UK, by making it affordable without the heavy expense of bonding machines and equipment. All training courses are led by hair extension specialist and Zen’s UK Educator Simon Stainton who, with a background of over 30 years in the trade, running salons and working on the shop floor, offers a lot more than simply training on how to put extensions in. Simon teaches crucial techniques from colour matching, client consultation, practical fitting and removal, as well as working with each salon to promote their services through marketing and social media techniques. He also discusses the financial gains of running a profitable hair extension business.

“A Zen education training day is a fun, hands-on, fully formative day providing each trainee with a tailored package to assist them in delivering a great hair extension experience in salon,” said Simon. “As well as covering kits, consultation, sheets, aftercare and point of sale, we also review cutting, blending and styling of the hair, and of course use live models and training heads in order to learn the fitting of our three available bonds.

“We don’t leave until our education standard is reached and when all students are accredited.”

Zen offers both in-house and in-salon training. They are currently extending facilities in Romford to expand their in-house training academy to accept up to eight students a day, and in-salon training covers the whole of the UK.
