More than beautiful lashes
We had the pleasure of interviewing Miley Gardner, Founder of The Bella Lash Co and she revealed how the brand’s her extensive range could benefit your business, as well as what’s to come in 2022.
Please introduce us to The Bella Lash Co and the idea behind the brand.
I always get butterflies when someone asks me about the idea behind The Bella Lash Co. Back when I founded the brand in 2017 we were called Bella Lashes. (Beautiful lashes in Italian) Our mantra is “More than beautiful lashes” I always knew I wanted to us to be a brand that does more than just lashes. I wanted the brand to do beautiful things too – so from 2017 a portion of every appointment went to a charity or an organisation at the end of the year. We wanted clients to walk away feeling beautiful on the outside and inside. You could leave a lash appointment knowing you’d done something beautiful. We donated to a charity called Action against Abduction and helped to fund their programme “Clever never goes” which has been taught in schools around the UK.
What are the benefits for our readers stocking/using your products in their line of work?
Anybody that tries our products will be able to tell right away that we are a luxury line. The quality of our products is second to none and we pride ourselves on being able to bring the best quality products while still being affordable for lash artists. Our BELLAFIX is the star of the show and the reason The Bella Lash Co such loyal customers. Our BELLAFIX adhesive is magic in a bottle that every artist needs to experience.
Tell us about your product range and how it stands out from others on the market?
When we decided to venture into the world of products it was never our intention to be a brand that you can come to buy absolutely everything. We made the decision to only release products that we believed were the best on the market. So we describe our product range as small but mighty. We noticed there were only a few brands that offered recyclable packaging as well as plastic. The first decision that we made for the brand was to only ever have environmentally friendly packaging as standard. We do not offer any plastic alternative packaging for our lashes.
Have you got any new products in the pipeline or anything significant on the cards for 2022?
It’s going to be a great year. I was lucky enough to be a speaker at the UK’s first ever LASH CON in 2021. I will be back hosting a LIVE masterclass at Lash Fest Live in Central London on May 15th. This year’s line us in insane, with the best artists from the UK and US, they have really pulled out all the stops this year, it’s an honour to be among such influential women. Releasing new products for us is not something that we take lightly. So much time is spent designing and sourcing the exact product that we envisioned and we have no desire to rush release anything.
As well as providing professional products, you offer training – can you tell us about this?
Education is at the heart of everything we do at The Bella Lash Co. You can never know too much, be too experienced and you are always learning. We mentor girls from the very first moment they pick up their tweezers to helping our students become award winning lash artists. We were also the first training academy in the UK to offer 1-1 training courses as standard, you will never be in a packed classroom on any of our training days. Our 1-1 sessions allow everybody equal opportunities to learn and excel in the beauty industry without the added pressure of packed classes and worrying about falling behind.
