Revolutionary hair extension technique soars to success at Dragon’s Den

The 6th of January marks twelve months since Ola Goldsmith faced the Dragons and pitched her revolutionary hair extension technique, Naked Weave. The Nuneaton-based entrepreneur sought £70,000 in return for 15 percent of her business from the investors and has since gone on to take her business to new heights.

Impressed with her grit and determination, Stephen Bartlett praised Ola: “To go out and create a business that does 6-figures in its first year is tremendous. And you’re an inspiration to our generation because of that.”

Ola walked away without securing investment from the Dragons however it was her tenacity that has propelled her business to success in 2022. She said: “Although it was the single scariest thing I’ve ever done, the Dragons gave me powerful encouragement to find investment elsewhere.

“The opportunity allowed me to deeply focus on my business, develop and take it in the direction I envisaged, except with a newfound drive and inspiration from the Dragons.”

Now, the premium hair extension brand provides industry accredited training to hair professionals across the country through Authorised Technicians and Educators. Not only this, but Ola also offers her expertise to business mentees to help them develop their own empire, as well as expertly taught masterclasses for hair stylists and trainees alike.

Ola has developed the smallest, and most discreet weft in the industry along with a range of premium products which includes hair care, styling, and a range for extension maintenance.

The innovative Naked Weave uses no heat, no glue, no braids and most importantly, there are no visible connections ensuring a comfortable and versatile fit for most hair types. It is no surprise that the weft technique received instant success among celebrities, TV personalities and some of the UK’s most reputable and inspiring technicians.

Ola has built a successful community of accredited trainers, students and stylists that are taking the hair salon industry by storm, a long way from where she began in 2012, and she’s not prepared to stop there. With help from her business partner Carl Boulton, Ola expects to expand her business while further developing the state-of-the-art technique she is known for.
